Great Outdoors

If you have a little extra time in your busy summer schedule, there is still a little time left in June to celebrate Great Outdoors Month! Currently, I am enjoying the last days of June in Banff & Jasper National Parks!

Earlier this month though, my dear husband planned the BEST date! He took me 4-wheeling on some nearby trails that turned out pretty sweet. It took me all but two minutes to decide that I was definitely returning to ride more trails here in the future. While it is closer than the Black Hills (big bonus) and the trails at moments remind me of my Black Hills rides, it does not have as many miles of trails and forestry roads. So, we can’t go TOO often or we will get bored with the trails (haha). But it really is a big blessing to know we have access to a fun day’s worth of adventure so nearby!

I’m so thankful for my special man, treating me to a fun outdoor adventure that we are able to enjoy together. It is always a treat to view the Lord’s creation from a new perspective or through a different activity. There are so many different ways to enjoy the outdoors, don’t let fear hold you back. Even better – use it as an opportunity to ditch those phones and have a great date or family outing. Those are some of my favorite family bonding moments growing up and I have fond memories.

So here is to my last reminder of the summer to go enjoy the “Great Outdoors”! And you can really can enjoy them anytime of the year. Doesn’t that just make the outdoors even better?!? Free. Open 24 hours, 7 days a week. Seasonal. New things to see. God’s creation. Nuff said.

“The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.” Psalm 19:1

Great post! I would describe your 4-wheeling outing as the “perfect date!” So happy you had a wonderful adventure together, taking in the sights our LORD has to offer. And yes, the Work of His Hands is Mighty, indeed!
