God’s creation amazes me. There are so many beautiful things we have discovered, but yet many places we have yet to even learn about.
I ran across some interesting videos today that put in me in awe. They are of some creatures that have been discovered in the depths of the ocean. At one time, scientists believed that light must exist for lift to exist. They have since discovered creatures beyond the light moving throughout the ocean’s waters.
Some of the creatures are downright scary. Others bring a smile to my face. Check out this one for example, it has been found more than a mile deep in the ocean.
Doesn’t watching this just make you itch to go on an adventure and discover what else God has created to give us joy? Okay, maybe this creature gives you the heebie-jeebies?
If it’s the first, isn’t God’s creation awe-inspiring? It makes me want to go climb a mountain or scuba dive. Here’s my challenge today, go for a run or walk, or sit outside tonight and look at the stars. Spend a little time thinking about what God has created around you and thank Him for it. It’ll bring a smile to your face. Trust me.
“How many are your works, O Lord! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures. There is the sea, vast and spacious, teeming with creatures beyond number-living things both large and small.” Psalm 104:24-25
For those of you who are more fearful of trekking into the unknown, God has something to share with you, too! There are many times in life when jumping into the unknown is frightening. But God tells us in His Word that He leads us through those times, preparing us for even greater things. My challenge to you is trust in the Lord where He is taking you, no matter how scary not knowing is. There are things yet to be discovered every day.
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
Enjoy your day, and take a leap into the unknown!
