A Rough Draft

Here’s an unpolished poem…food for thought. I named it rough draft because we are never finished, we’re always being refined by His Word and His Power…

I’m so lost & alone,

A long, long way from home.

Where does this road lead?

Am I ever to be freed?

Never before did I feel fear,

But more than ever I know You’re near.

I once had an adventurous heart to lead,

But all it seems to do now is bleed.

Enless joy, I once did feel.

Now before You I kneel.

I know it’s not I who can re-invent the wheel.

Fill my hole, my empty spaces,

Thank You for Your blessed Graces.

Just before I start my run,

Show me a glimpse of Your Glorious Son.

Fill me Lord with Your Love,

As You carry me on my new journey like a dove.

Not all days of this life are fun,

But with a new day, up shines the sun.

“What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life –  and the life was manifested, and we have seen and testify and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was manifested to us – what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ. These things we write, so that our joy may be made complete.”
-1 John 1:1-4
